Hello all! I am Amira Humes, an illustrator originally from Saginaw, Michigan, who now lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I hold a BFA in illustration with a minor in communication design from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. Throughout my creative exploration, I have embraced my identity as a Black Filipino American and used my background to inform my work. One of my biggest passions is exploring culture through cuisine, and I naturally transitioned into creating food illustrations. I love being able to appreciate our differences and share a meal that speaks louder than our language barrier.

I am thankful to have had the opportunity to work with organizations such as Carmex, Discovery World, Island Pacific Market, and Colectivo Coffee.
